CARD DECKS
What are the rules?
Piano Practice Companion (PPC) is an educational resource that includes a very large number of ways to learn piano pieces. These methods are materialized in the form of “cards” and are structured into “decks” designed to provide keys for a conscientious and independent learning for students—children or adults, amateur or pre-professional—who wish to explore the full richness and complexity of the piano repertoire with appropriate cognitive tools. Further details..
PPC guides you at every stage of your learning. Choose a deck and apply the exercises suggested on a new piece or one you are currently working on using more than 200 cards:
- Learn by fragments – choose this deck if you want step-by-step guidance for learning a section of your new piece.
- Revision tips – choose this deck if your piece is already prepared and you want to assess the solidity of your learning.
- Enhance my practice – here you will find tips for discovering complementary activities to piano practice, aimed at enriching your relationship with music.
- Stretching – here you will find some physical exercises to awaken your body before a piano practice session or a concert.
- Sight-reading techniques – in this deck, you will find essential information for “accompaniment” practice, especially regarding transposition and orchestral reduction.
